These architects, who were specially invited, come from countries such as France, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, and Japan,” he said in an interview.The architects are Naserine Seraji (France); Hani Rashid, Michael Sorkin, and Thom Mayne (US); Almut Ernst (Germany); Ole Scheeren (Netherlands); Riken Yamamoto; and Tetsuo Furuichi (Japan).“They spent several months in Penang, studying the culture and the needs of the locals before drafting their master plan.
